Sean P. Carson of IntrepidPhotographer.ca has been photographing nature, people and places since 1997, beginning with his first foray into the arts at 15 years old. Through his first camera, a Pentax ME Super, he carefully curated his black and white film into surreal imagery, while learning the basics of the craft. After four years, through direction of his art teacher, he applied to George Brown College and was accepted into their Photography and Graphic Design program. During his time in college, he fast-tracked his program and graduated in two years; a year less then the average student. Through the next six years his love for photography grew past nature and into documentary principals, where he learned to apply the stories behind the final photograph, bringing along with it a sense of placement for his viewers. In 2010, Sean decided to expand his education through a Bachelors of Fine Arts from Ryerson University, where he graduated with Honours. During his time at Ryerson he started his first trademark Photography business, Exposure Studio, and worked with various clients that include Red Bull, VC Ultimate, Canadian Geographic and Environment Canada. One year after graduating, he built his Adventure Photography division of his company, known as IntrepidPhotographer.ca. Since that birth, he has been travelling around the globe, photographing and sharing his stories with viewers. Over the years Sean has received several awards, accolades and has been published various magazines; Canadian Geogrpahic, Outdoor Photographer, Shutter Bug, JPFreak, to name a few.
